About me

Hello and welcome to my site. I'm Leonie, a digital artist, writer and insect enthusiast. This website is mainly to store my various creative endeavours and give me a space on the internet that isn't at the mercy of Meta or various debit card companies. Right now, I'm hoping to study Geography at university, with a focus on conservation and human-animal interactions. I like making art and telling funny stories, but currently all my artwork is mostly done in service of my art studies, which I'm not loving at the minute hahaha. I hope you enjoy my site, and either find it useful or a fun way to kill time. :)

My Favourite Things
• Movies: Legally Blonde, Electric Dreams, Cat Soup, World of Tomorrow Pt. 1, Look Back, Anatomy of a Fall, Bubu and Bubulina, Rope, Superbad & Mind Game. The last two have some parts I'm not overly fond of but the comedic timing and visuals respectively more than make up for it.
• Animals: Where do I begin?! I honestly find it hard to think of an animal I truly dislike, as they're all so delightful and strange. In general though, I really love beetles (obviously), flies (my favourite flies are scorpionflies!), isopods (all myraipods really), and owls. My favourite birds are often from Oceania, such as the adorable Kakapo, the Ruru owl, Emus and much more. Honestly if I listed all my favourite animals we would be here forever.
• Music: I love music, but I often find it hard to get into one band specifically, I like to listen to a mix of stuff. My current favourites are Weezer, Heavenly, Fiona Apple, The Go Team!, Mason Lindroth, AIR French Band, Aurelio Voltaire (earlier albums), Rose Melberg, Cocteau Twins, Kikuo (I really love the kikuoworld albums) and more!
• Video Games: Undertale & Deltarune, Space Funeral, Hylics, Yume Nikki, OFF, The Sims 2 & 4 (I've played the sims 1 and would love to get my hands on the sims 3), Your Turn to Die, Style Savvy & Hypnospace Outlaw. In general I play video games more for the story and interactivity rather than actual gameplay...My hand eye coordination isn't fantastic but I'm always fond of exploring an odd little world.
